Le Jardin
Wonders never cease!  Who said that?  Well, "they" were right.  I talked to Kacey for a long time yeserday.  She sounds like a new person - happy, confident, and looking towards the future!  Her artwork continues to be a source of contentment for her.  I know that she can lose herself in it for hours.  She spoke of all the work she has done and how she really wants to make a real go of having it as her business.  She sent several pictures of one of her works inspired by Paris. It's called "Le Jardin".  Now I don't know if anyone would want to buy it, but maybe I'm prejudiced, but I think its amazing.  To know that she can create something out of stuff she finds on big trash day continures to amaze me.  She is hoping to have a show in the fall.  It would be an honor for me to have that for her; just to see her have some success would be the greatest gift.

And another thing,  She has taken a job cleaning my friend Todd's house twice a month.  Now for those who know Kacey, this is astonishing!  She is the queen of mess!  Yet she says that she can clean other people's houses just fine. And Todd confirmed it.   Once again, wonders never cease!

I can't believe that I am saying this, but I really want to get home from Michigan.  I want to celebrate her new found confidence and watch her continue to blossom.  I am so proud of her!

Kacey at Notre Dame
Ok, I'm back! To tell the truth, I didn't think I needed to continue with my writing. But a wise friend, Nan, told me that I should reconsider and continue, even if it is to say fuck, fuck, fuck! I kinda like the sound of that and so, from time to time, I may use those words. I'm sure a time will come when I need them. Right now I'm in a magical place where I can find peace and serenity and I love it here. Truly, I believe that I must have lived here in another life. Whatever the reason, thank you, my precious sister, for introducing it to me!

For those of you who followed my previous writing, I wanted to post a picture of my beautiful daughter, Kacey. I guess you could say that she is the main reason for my writing, but certainly not the only reason for my writing!

I have been gone almost a month and she has weathered a few ups and downs successfully, and, most importantly, without me. For this, I am so grateful. So I look forward to returning home to start the next chapter of her healing process. Lord, knows that the rest of 2010 couldn't be as bad as the first part!

I am one of those dorks who loved to buy new school supplies and new shoes for school. I guess I'm in the perfect profession. I embrace the start of a new school year and look forward to meeting new students and reconnecting with those who are so familiar. Change is so good for my soul...
